The 2010 Pre Bid Auction has started.

The Children's Center 9th Annual Chili Chowder Challenge will be held at the Augusta Armory on March 20, 2010 from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

15 local restaurants will be offering up their best chilis and chowders, hoping to win a title! "The Flashbacks" will be playing live on stage, and there will be crafts for the kids, along with a reading area with storytelling from the staff of Lithgow Library. The silent auction will be going on throughout the event, and live bidding on the items on this website will begin at 12:30.

Come out and vote for your favorite chili and/or chowder - and don't forget to bid on the auction items! Tickets are $10 for an individual and $25 for a family, and are available at the Alliance of Maine Federal Credit Union at 44 Edison Drive, Augusta or the Children's Center, 1 Alden Avenue, Augusta.
